QPR boss dismisses Lennon speculation

QPR boss Harry Redknapp has dismissed reports he is looking to sign Aaron Lennon from Tottenham.

Rangers did not make an approach for Lennon, 27, during the previous transfer window but were widely reported to have tried to sign him.

And former Spurs boss Redknapp has again been tipped to move for the winger, with bookmakers cutting the odds on Lennon moving to Loftus Road.

“No, I don’t know anything about that one,” said Redknapp.

“I wonder who’s been putting bets on Aaron Lennon – they must know something [I don’t].”

Redknapp would like sign Emmanuel Adebayor on loan from Spurs but played down rumours the 30-year-old striker could be on his way to west London.

“I don’t know where that’s come from. He’s a good player – very interesting,” Redknapp said.

“He’d be out of our budget I would think. I haven’t discussed it with anyone.”

And Redknapp reiterated that he is not looking to sign Yann M’Vila.

Rangers have not expressed an interest in the French midfielder since he discussed personal terms with them before eventually joining Rubin Kazan two years ago.

M’Villa, 22, is currently on loan at Inter Milan and Italian media reports have claimed that QPR want him, with Adel Taarabt possibly moving in the opposite direction.
