‘We’ve tried everything’ insists Redknapp
Harry Redknapp says he has done all he can to try to end QPR’s wait for an away point.
Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat at Swansea means Rangers have lost all eight of their away matches this season, with seven of those defeats coming in the league.
But Redknapp believes they are improving and is confident their fortunes on the road will change.
The Rangers boss said: “Maybe you have to try to find a system that will get you results somewhere.
“But we’ve tried everything. We’ve played with two strikers – every system in the book I think we’ve tried.
“We’ve got closer in the last few weeks. There was a late goal at Newcastle – we got beaten 1-0 – and with 13 or 14 minutes to go at Swansea the other night it was still 0-0, and at Chelsea it was 1-1 and there was a poor penalty decision late in the game.
“You’ve just got to keep going. It will turn. We’ll pick up a result away from home probably when we least expect it.”
Rangers suffered 4-0 defeats at Tottenham and Manchester United at the beginning of the campaign and Redknapp claims they have been unlucky to have faced in-form teams so far.
He explained: “It’s been difficult. We’ve played good teams and have found it hard.
“There’s not too many teams down the bottom that have got too many results away from home. It’s very difficult.
“The games that we’ve played, when you look at them they’ve all been against clubs that are up there in the top six, seven or eight – they’ve not been the easiest of fixtures away from home and we have struggled.”
