QPR offered potential deal to sign Morrison

QPR are considering signing Ravel Morrison if he is allowed to leave Lazio.

Morrison, 22, agreed a move to Italy after being shown the door by West Ham in February and Fifa rules mean he was unable to play for Lazio last season.

He is unhappy in Rome and his representatives, who are trying to negotiate his release, have contacted Rangers about the possibility of a deal.

“He’s such a fantastic talent and it’ll be such a shame if he doesn’t become a great player.”

Former QPR manager Harry Redknapp on Ravel Morrison

He made 15 league appearances, scoring six goals, during a loan spell at QPR in 2014, helping the club reach the play-offs – which they won to secure promotion back to the top flight.

Now back in the Championship following last season’s relegation, and with director of football Les Ferdinand and head coach Chris Ramsey at the helm, the club are looking to rebuild.

They have some reservations about the wayward Morrison, who was booted out of Manchester United before his troubled spell at West Ham, who also loaned him to Cardiff and Birmingham after he fell out of favour at Upton Park.

However, he did impress for much of his spell at Loftus Road after being brought in by Harry Redknapp.

Former Rangers manager Redknapp later advised Morrison to move abroad in order to fulfil his potential.
