Ramsey keen to rest QPR duo

Chris Ramsey says is keen to add to his defensive options so he can rest QPR defenders Nedum Onuoha and James Perch.

The imminent return of Yun Suk-Young will give Rangers another option at left-back, where Paul Konchesky has featured so far this season.

But they remain short of options at right-back, where Perch is first choice, and in the centre of defence, where Grant Hall has been given a chance alongside Onuoha.

Head coach Ramsey said: “Grant Hall will stay in the team as long as he’s playing the way he is.

“But we still need cover because Nedum’s been playing every minute of every game and has trained every minute of every session since pre-season.

“I’m mindful that I’m going to have to leave him out soon, because I need him [to be fit] and the club need him, so we do need some players to come in there.

“Perchy at right-back is also playing in every game and we know that’s not sustainable. You do need a squad.”

Ramsey expected a deal to sign Tim Ream to go through after an offer was accepted by Bolton.

But Rangers are looking at other options after the American defender opted to join Fulham.
