Ramsey keen for QPR to tighten up

Chris Ramsey insists QPR fully deserved their first Championship win of the season but now must tighten up at the back.

The head coach saw his team battle back from two down to win 3-2 at Wolves – four days after Rangers let a two-goal lead slip against Cardiff.

“I thought the boys were fantastic. It’s what we’ve been building up to and I think we’ve deserved it in all the games we’ve played this season,” said Ramsey.

“We’ve created a hatful of chances. Now we’re going to have to make sure we don’t let in our obligatory two goals per game, because that’s not good form.

“We are a little bit disappointed to have let in two goals, but sometimes you’ve got to take the wins as they come – we did enough to have won the game at the weekend and we drew in the last minute.

“Now we’ve got four points and I think the confidence will grow from there.”

And Ramsey says he is keen for Rangers to continue playing in the attacking style that worked so well in the second half of Wednesday’s win.

He predicted: “If we play in that style for the rest of the season I think we’ll win more games than we lose.

“If we keep positive in the way we play I think the fans will enjoy watching.”
