Praise for QPR trio after draw against Reading

Ben Gladwin of QPR

QPR boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank praised Ben Gladwin, Cole Kpekawa and Matt Ingram following the 1-1 draw against Reading.

Gladwin, 23, has struggled to establish himself at Rangers since his summer move from Swindon but was given a place in the starting line-up.

So too was 19-year-old left-back Kpekawa, who made his full league debut for the club, and keeper Ingram, who made his home debut having impressed in the recent goalless draw at Cardiff.

“Cole Kpekawa did very well. I’m very pleased. Ben Gladwin also did very well and I think there’s so much more to come from both of them,” Hasselbaink said.

“I think when it all settles, you will see much more quality from those two.”

The Dutchman added: “Matt Ingram is 22 and once again played very calmly and with maturity – and that’s important.”

Hasselbaink also defended Sebastian Polter after the striker’s late miss and spoke about the kind of players QPR need to sign for next season.
