Ramsey pleased after QPR’s draw at Hull

QPR boss Chris Ramsey
Chris Ramsey praised Alejandro Faurlin after his return to the QPR side in the 1-1 draw at Hull.

The popular midfielder was restored in place of Daniel Tozser, who played in the recent home matches against Nottingham Forest and Blackburn after Faurlin picked up a knock in training.

Ramsey said: “Daniel has only played sparingly during pre-season and I thought two games in a week might have been a bit too much for him. Ale did very, very well.”

Charlie Austin scored his sixth goal of the season as Rangers picked up a useful point at the KC Stadium.

Ramsey was also pleased to see a much needed improvement in his team’s defending.

“I thought the boys’ professionalism and the way we defended for most of the game was very good,” said the Rangers head coach.

“It’s a good away point. They caused us a few problems and we probably would have taken a point before the game.

“A point’s a decent result. It might prove to be a very important point at the end of the season.”
