Fer in QPR squad for derby at Fulham

Leroy Fer has been included in QPR’s squad for Friday’s derby against Fulham.

The Dutch midfielder has been sidelined with the knee problem which last month led to Sunderland pulling out of a deal to sign him on loan.

He played an hour of an Under-21 game against Crewe at Rangers’ Harlington training ground this week, as did Sandro, who scored the opening goal in a 3-1 win for the home side.

Sandro is building up his match fitness having recently returned to the country after a longstanding issue with his visa was finally resolved.

The Brazilian is not being considered for selection for Friday’s match but has been told he could feature soon.
