Fernandes plays down QPR’s losses
Tony Fernandes has reiterated the long-term commitment of QPR’s owners following the release of the club’s latest financial figures.
Rangers reported a loss of more than £65m in their accounts for the year to May 2013, having spent £41.4m on transfer fees and increased the wage bill by almost £17m to £68m in an attempt to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
The overall debt increased to £177.1m, up from £91.4m in the 2012 accounts.
In a statement, chairman Fernandes said the Rangers board are “fully committed to QPR in the short, medium and long term and are 100% focused on delivering our vision for the club.”

I have been a Q.P.R supporter from the age of 6 I’m now 79 in May I love the Rs and I agree with the board They have and are doing a fine job! And where do you leave Harry a great job that he’s doing so I say keep up the the great job of work thier doing we will get there Rome wasn’t built in a day up the R s !!

Tony knows he has made mistakes,who has not,you only have to look at the turnover of managers in the premiership (The so called “Elite”).
however as a Loyal qpr supporter of more than 50 years,I have seen many chairman come and go,not too many of them were that knowledgeable about football and none of them showed the commitment to the club that Tony and his fellow shareholders have.my advice is to build from the ground up with our younger players (u21’s) forming the main part of our senior squad with a bit of experience to hold them together.

The owners are doing their bit to keep us afloat, now it’s down to the players to turn things around on the pitch. Passing the ball around efficiently does not win games, scoring goals does, our players need to be more aggressive from the first whistle and keep the pressure on going till the final whistle. Only constant aggressive play will force our opponents to commit mistakes and allow us to impose our play on them.
We have the right players to go the business, they just need to get their act together.
