Bhatia steps down from QPR Trust role

Amit Bhatia has stepped down from his position as QPR in the Community Trust chairman, the club have announced.

The Rangers vice-chairman has chaired the Trust since QPR’s community scheme became a registered charity in 2009.

“The Trust is in great shape due to the continued outstanding work that the Trustees and staff so dedicatedly put in,” Bhatia told the club website.

“I have been involved in the Trust for seven years, and in that time so many wonderful things have happened. It has become very professional and has achieved so much.

“The new trustees who the Trust are considering bringing in will add their passion and experience to make sure it grows and matures even further.”

He added: “I am so proud of everything the Trust has accomplished and achieved but I feel it’s now time for me to step aside and let new people, with new thoughts and ideas, and new commitments, step in and take it forward.”
