Tjaronn Chery featured for QPR’s development side in a match against Ipswich on Friday after being left out of the first team’s squad for the trip to Middlesbrough.

Sebastian Polter also played in the game at Loftus Road, where the German scored in a 1-1 draw.

Ipswich striker James Alabi opened the scoring on 75 minutes and Polter equalised with a penalty seven minutes later after Myles Kenlock pushed Andreas Komodikis in the box.

Polter had earlier missed two good chances and Darnell Furlong, back at QPR following a loan spell at Northampton, hit the bar late on.

The Rangers line-up also included former Coventry City youngster Leon Lobjoit, 20, who is on trial with the club for the second time this season.
