QPR reject £7m bid from Albion for Phillips

QPR have rejected a £7m bid from West Bromwich Albion for Matty Phillips.

Rangers have told Albion they want £10m for the 24-year-old winger, who was signed from Blackpool for around £5m in 2013.

He has struggled for fitness and form for much of his time at Loftus Road but impressed during the second half of last season, leading to interest among Premier League clubs following Rangers’ relegation.

Phillips has made 46 league appearances for the R’s, scoring six goals.

QPR rejected a £12m bid from Leicester for striker Charlie Austin earlier this week.
