Chelsea ready to offload keeper in order to win Falcao race – report

Chelsea are ready to let keeper Thibaut Courtois join Atletico Madrid in order to land striker Radamel Falcao, the Daily Mirror say.

It is claimed the club will happily let Courtois stay at Atletico, where he has been on loan, if it helps them see off apparent competition from Real Madrid and both Manchester clubs to sign Falcao.

Chelsea are also said to want Kevin De Bruyne to move to Bayer Leverkusen this week in a part-exchange deal involving Andre Schurrle.

The Daily Mail say Luis Suarez and Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic clashed angrily in the tunnel prior to the Liverpool striker’s infamous biting of the defender’s arm.

It is claimed the pair had to be separated at half-time. Ivanovic is said to have confronted Suarez after appearing to be caught by the Uruguayan’s elbow in a first-half challenge.

Meanwhile, Fulham are still looking to sign Tom Huddlestone from Tottenham, according to the Daily Mail.

He played under Whites boss Martin Jol at Spurs and the Dutchman, who attempted to sign him in January, is tipped to maintain his interest in the summer.

The Mail also say Fulham will let keeper David Stockdale leave for around £4m and are in talks with Athletic Bilbao over signing defender Fernando Amorebieta on a free transfer.

Aaron Hughes is another player tipped to leave, with the Daily Express suggesting the defender is on his way out of Craven Cottage.

It comes after Jol said last week: “If you need to play and you’re not in the team, you probably think about going somewhere.

“I don’t think Aaron will be one of those, but you can never say never.”
