Ouseph marches on in Commonwealths

Rajiv Ouseph’s bid for Commonwealth Games gold continued with another comprehensive victory in the men’s singles.

The Hounslow star, beaten in the final in Delhi four years ago, comfortably dispatched Sahir Edoo of Mauritius in the second round.

The world number 27 was no match for Edoo, ranked outside the top 1,200 in singles, at Glasgow’s Emirates Arena.

Ouseph, who had beaten 15-year-old Chongo Mulenga of Zambia in Tuesday’s first round, ran out the victor 21-11, 21-6.

He will now take on world number 141 Chao Huang of Singapore in the third round on Thursday.
