Ouseph is knocked out of Swiss Open

Hounslow’s Rajiv Ouseph bowed out of the Swiss Open after an hour-long battle with Viktor Axelsen in the quarter-finals.

He was beaten 19-21, 21-16, 21-16 by the Dane, who secured a semi-final clash with team-mate and top seed Jan O Jorgensen.

In the decider, Ouseph recovered from 11-8 down to push Axelsen all the way but the eighth seed responded with three points in a row from 15-14 and there was no way back for the Englishman.
