United denied as Stones are crushed

Weston-super-Mare 2 Hayes and Yeading United 2

A late goal from Aaron Brown denied Hayes and Yeading victory on their long journey to Weston-super-Mare.

The hosts were ahead at half-time thanks to a 15th-minute goal from Tom Jordan.

Phil Babb made three changes at the break as he tried to avoid a fourth consecutive defeat and it reaped almost instant rewards with an equaliser from Matt Ruby.

Dan Wishart then put United in front midway through the second half but their hopes of victory were dashed when Brown levelled nine minutes from time.

Wealdstone 0 Bromley 4

Winless Wealdstone were crushed by title favourites Bromley despite a third penalty save of the season from Jonathan North.

Stones were 2-0 down inside 12 minutes as first poor defending from a free kick allowed Damian Scannell to power home a header and then incisive midfield play saw Louis Dennis fire home.

Wealdstone sub Tom Collins forced a great save from Bromley keeper Seb Brown in the second half before the visitors squandered a chance to extend their lead as former Gillingham striker Adam Birchall had his spot-kick turned away by North.

Bromley did however add further goals late on through Pierre Joseph-Dubois and sub Moses Ademola as Bromley asserted their undoubted class and Wealdstone dropped into the bottom two.

Ryman Premier Division round-up

Two goals early in the second half helped Hampton and Richmond secure their first victory of the season at the sixth attempt.

Charlie Moone notched his third of the season from the penalty spot just after half-time to put Hampton ahead and George Wells netted the second a few minutes later.

Lewes got one back as Ollie Rowe side-footed home from close range on 67 minutes and Hampton had to survive the sending off of Ben Osman to see out the win and move off the foot of the table.

Harrow Borough also put in a strong second half display as they came from behind to dispatch East Thurrock United.

Mitchell Gilbey had the home side in front just before the break but Harrow were level on 51 minutes through Spencer Bellotti.

Michael Peacock’s goal midway through the second half saw the momentum swing in Harrow’s favour and Steve Butterworth put the gloss on the win in injury time.

In-form Hendon were given a jolt by Enfield Town who romped to a 3-0 win at Earlsmead.

Gary McCann’s side, unbeaten in four, felt behind when Corey Whitely scored seven minutes into the second half.

Nathan Livings added a second on 71 minutes and Whitley made it 3-0 not long after.
