Hendon midfielder facing knee surgery

Hendon midfielder Chris Seeby will require reconstructive surgery on a serious knee injury picked up in a recent friendly.

The 30-year-old collapsed in agony after overstretching when putting in a cross against Harrow Borough.

A scan has revealed severe cruciate ligament damage, ruling him out of the rest of the season.

Seeby, who also had a spell at Northwood, joined Hendon from St. Albans City in the summer of 2013 and has made 89 appearances.

Hendon said a fundraising event may be arranged for Seeby in the next few weeks.
