Goalkeeper Jonathan North has signed on for another season at Wealdstone.

The former Watford man missed four months of the last campaign after undergoing knee surgery, with West Ham’s Sam Howes and Colchester’s James Bransgrove drafted in as cover.

But either side of his injury, North was in tremendous form as the Stones finished 13th in their second season in National League South.

Manager Gordon Bartlett said: “Jon is an outstanding goalkeeper who has been an integral part of the Wealdstone family since his arrival from Watford six seasons ago.

“We strongly believe that he is one of the best in non-League football and more importantly by committing his future, Jon thinks we are on the verge of something very positive as we head towards the new campaign.”
