Sterling in line for new deal

Raheem Sterling is in line for an improved contract at Liverpool.

Sterling has impressed since stepping up to first-team level under manager Brendan Rodgers this season.

And the club have opened talks over a new deal for the 17-year-old from Harlesden, who was called into the senior England squad last month.

Sterling, who left QPR to move to Anfield in 2010, has played eight times for Liverpool so far this term.
