Latest: Wigan 0 QPR 0

QPR made a solid start to the Championship play-off semi-final first leg at the DW Stadium, where Armand Traore and Junior Hoilett were both named in the starting line-up.

Wigan’s only early chance fell to Gary Caldwell, who headed straight at keeper Rob Green from Jordi Gomez’s cross.

At the other end, Gary O’Neil had an effort blocked after being set up by Charlie Austin.

Roared on by more than 3,000 travelling fans, Rangers have so far defended in numbers when needed and looked to hit on the counter-attack when possible.
