Half-time: QPR 1 Yeovil 0

Ravel Morrison’s 25th-minute strike – his third goal in as many matches – put QPR ahead at Loftus Road.

Rangers, beaten four times in their last six matches, made an uncertain start and Yeovil registered the first two efforts on goal, with Tom Lawrence seeing his shot saved by keeper Rob Green shortly before Luke Ayling drove wide.

The home side eventually settled and deflected shots by first Joey Barton and later Armand Traore narrowly missed the target.

And after Richard Dunne’s attempt was diverted wide by Will Keane, keeper Marek Stech produced a good save to deny Barton at close range.

Rangers’ breakthrough came when Morrison cleverly feinted to shoot after being teed up by Junior Hoilett, giving him time and space to fire into the corner of the net from 25 yards.

QPR had to make a change a couple of minutes before the break when Traore limped off and was replaced by Niko Kranjcar.

QPR (4-4-1-1): Green; Hughes, Onuoha, Dunne, Hill, Traore (Kranjcar 43), Barton, Jenas, Hoilett; Morrison; Keane.
Subs: Murphy; Carroll, Henry, Zamora, Benayoun, Maiga.
