Cahill rested as Kalas starts at Anfield

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has named Gary Cahill among his substitutes and given Czech defender Tomas Kalas, 20, a full debut for the vital Premier League game against Liverpool.

Youngsters Nathan Ake and Lewis Baker are also substitutes along with Willian and Fernando Torres. Demba Ba starts up front while Mo Salah and Nemanja Matic, both ineligible for next week’s Champions League clash with with Atletico Madrid, also start.

The Blues are without the injured Petr Cech, John Terry, Eden Hazard and Samuel Eto’o, while Ramires is suspended.

Former Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge is on the bench for Liverpool, who are without the suspended Jordan Henderson.
