Wanderers hit back to beat Fulham

Bolton 3 Fulham 1

Bolton scored two late goals as they came from behind to beat Fulham.

Shaun Hutchinson opened the scoring on 22 minutes, smashing in a right-wing cross from Alex Kacaniklic after the home side had failed to clear a corner.

Ross McCormack missed a chance to make it 2-0 and then saw an effort saved before Wanderers hit back shortly before half-time.

Nikolay Bodurov was unable to clear Saidy Janko’s right-wing cross and former Chelsea man Eidur Gudjohnsen was on hand to equalise.

Bolton dominated the second half and Kostas Stafylidis prevented them going ahead by blocking Adam Le Fondre’s close-range shot on the line.

But Janko scored a brilliant goal, belting home from near the edge of the penalty area with 10 minutes remaining.

And a terrible mistake by Whites keeper Marcus Bettinelli gifted Bolton another goal in the final minute.

Bettinelli’s woeful clearance fell to Le Fondre, who duly lobbed in his team’s third.
