Symons lauds duo after win at Leeds

Fulham boss Kit Symons hailed Hugo Rodallega and Lasse Vigen Christensen after the pair combined to score the winner against Leeds at Elland Road.

Christensen, who has impressed in the Whites’ midfield this season, created the goal and Rodallega converted for his ninth of the Championsip campaign.

Symons said: “It was a well worked goal. Lasse Christensen did exceptionally well – he’s been excellent for us since I’ve taken over – and Hugo can’t stop scoring.

“Confidence is a huge thing in football but especially with strikers. Hugo’s confidence is up and he’s really enjoying his football.”

Symons was also pleased with the manner of his side’s victory, which lifts them above Leeds and into 14th.

He said: “Leeds have got a great home record so we knew it would be a tough game. But I was delighted with the performance, and obviously the result.

“It was very important, especially on the back of getting battered 5-0 at home by Watford the week before, that we tightened up and showed real character.

“To a man, I thought they were excellent.”
