Riether completes move to Freiburg

Freiburg have completed the signing of Sascha Riether from Fulham.

The right-back, who moves for an undisclosed fee, returns to his native Germany after two years at Craven Cottage.

Riether, 31, arrived on a season-long loan from FC Cologne in the summer of 2012 and the deal was made permanent last year.

He made 72 appearances for the Whites, scoring once.

His departure was confirmed by Fulham 24 hours after they announced the signing of another German right-back, Tim Hoogland, from Schalke.
