Ream scores own goal as Fulham lose at Derby

Derby 2 Fulham 0

Tim Ream scored an own goal as struggling Fulham were beaten again.

Defender Ream turned the ball into his own net after Johnny Russell’s 52nd-minute cross caused confusion in the Whites defence.

Derby, whose victory took them to the top of the Championship table, scored a late second when Jacob Butterfield fired home after exchanging passes with Chris Martin.

Former Fulham man Darren Bent almost made it three when his injury-time effort hit the bar.

Fulham were well beaten but Alex Kacaniklic forced two good saves from Rams keeper Lee Grant.

Ross McCormack, who shot narrowly wide, had the visitors’ best chance.
