Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic said his side gave Sheffield United a taste of their own medicine in the epic 5-4 win at Bramall Lane.

Teenager Ryan Sessegnon scored a hat-trick, on his 50th appearance for the club, and lively Liverpool loanee Sheyi Ojo chipped in with the other two in a thrilling victory.

The high-flying Blades have earned plaudits for their attacking style since winning promotion from League One, and Jokanovic revealed he set his side up to outscore them.

“We tried to attack them where in the past they have tried to attack teams,” Jokanovic said.

“We played with fast players, they found space very well and they showed their quality to finish the chances we created.

“For the first, second and third goals I didn’t think they did enough to score them, but in the end it’s our fault they scored four goals and we need to be more solid.

“I feel we deserved a little bit more of a comfortable victory, but they’re one of the best Championship teams and I must be satisfied.”
