Fulham v Sheffield United player ratings

Fulham secured a third-round clash with Stoke by beating Sheffield United 3-0 at Craven Cottage. Here’s how we rated the Whites players in Tuesday’s League Cup win.

Andy Lonergan: 7
Continued his encouraging form, making some good saves, especially one early on to deny Martyn Woolford from long range.

Jazz Richards: 6
Had a solid game at right-back. Does the basics very well.

Tim Ream: 7
A solid debut for the recent signing from Bolton. He looks assured stepping out from the back and clever when playing the ball through midfield.

Dan Burn: 6
Burn was rarely troubled but sometimes awkward with clearances and wasteful with long diagonal passes.

Kay Voser: 6
Had more space and time to be a threat going forward and some of his crossing was difficult for the Blades defenders to handle.

Alex Kacaniklic: 6
Troubled defenders with his direct running and close control, especially early in the second half, but his final product is lacking and he was substituted for Tom Cairney in the 64th minute.

Lasse Vigen Christensen: 6
Finished the game well, with many of Fulham’s attacks going through him, but he will also be frustrated by lots of misplaced passes in the final third.

Ryan Tunnicliffe: 7
Threatened early on when he smashed a shot against the bar from the edge of the box and looked strong in midfield.

Ben Pringle: 6
Worked hard but lacked a cutting edge in the penalty area.

Ross McCormack: 8
Scored his first two goals of the season and deserved them for his work-rate, which continues to be outstanding.

Moussa Dembele: 7
Missed a number of good chances, snatching at efforts and lacking composure when chances occur. But a first goal, albeit into an empty net, might settle his nerves.

Tom Cairney: 6
Played some good passes as Fulham dominated the end of the game and he recovered quickly after being brutally fouled by Jose Baxter, who was sent off for the challenge.
