Fulham reject approach from Sheffield Wednesday for striker McCormack

Fulham have rejected an approach from Sheffield Wednesday for striker Ross McCormack.

McCormack, who made a big-money move from Leeds to Craven Cottage last summer, scored 19 goals in his first season with the Whites.

He has been in impressive form so far this term as well – his penalty in Fulham’s 3-1 win at Rotherham on Saturday was his third goal of the campaign.

The Scotland international, 29, signed a one-year extension to his Fulham contract a fortnight ago. His new deal runs until 2019.

Meanwhile, Fulham are hoping to complete the signing of defender Richard Stearman, 28, from Wolves in the next 24 hours.
