Fulham in talks to sign keeper Kiraly

Fulham have been given permission to speak to 1860 Munich’s former Crystal Palace goalkeeper Gabor Kiraly about a move to Craven Cottage.

The 38-year-old Hungary international previously spent five years in England with Palace and then Burnley – a period that also included loan spells at West Ham and Aston Villa.

According to 1860 sporting director Gehard Poschner, Kiraly wants to move back to England and will undergo a medical at Fulham.

He said: “It is absolutely understandable that Gabor accepts this unique challenge.

“Out of respect for him we have complied with his request. We thank him very much and wish him every success at Fulham.”

Kiraly left Burnley to join 1860, currently of the German second division, in 2009 and has made 168 league appearances for the club.

He has also been Hungary number one for a number of years, making his international debut in 1998.
