Williams steps up comeback in U21 game

George Williams played for 80 minutes as Fulham’s youngsters beat West Ham 2-0 at Upton Park in the Under-21 Premier League.

A crowd of more than 2,300 saw Jordan Evans score with a stunning 30-yard free-kick on 34 minutes and Dean O’Halloran beat the offside trap to net early in the second half.

Whites midfielder Williams continues to make good progress in his recovery from the long-term knee injury he suffered in March while on loan at MK Dons.

Shaun Hutchinson and Emerson Hyndman also featured for the visitors.
