Leeds striker banned for biting Amorebieta

Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Chelsea v Fulham - Stamford Bridge

Leeds United striker Souleymane Doukara has been banned for eight matches for biting Fulham defender Fernando Amorebieta.

Doukara was charged by the Football Association with violent conduct following the incident in the 54th minute of the match at Elland Road on 23 February.

The 24-year-old had denied the charge but was found guilty at a hearing on Wednesday, with the punishment announced on Thursday.

Doukara, who played the full 90 minutes in the 1-1 draw, was also fined £5,000.

Amorebieta was booked for his reaction to the bite and later sent off for a second yellow card late in the game.
