Fulham suffer defeat against Cardiff

Cardiff City 1 Fulham 0

Fulham failed to score for the fourth game in a row as they were condemned to defeat by Sean Morrison’s 14th-minute goal.

The Whites defence failed to cut out Aron Gunnarsson’s long throw and centre-back Morrison’s header crept in despite keeper Marcus Bettinelli getting a hand to it.

Morrison threatened again from a Gunnarsson missile but this time Kostas Stafylidis cleared off the line.

Kit Symons’ side had 63 per cent of the ball but couldn’t convert that into clear-cut chances.

Former Brentford keeper Simon Moore saved from Hugo Rodallega’s effort from distance and Ross McCormack lofted a shot on to the roof of the goal.

On the hour mark, McCormack fired a free-kick straight at Moore, while at the other end Peter Whittingham fired just past the post.

But Fulham’s goal drought – which stretches back to Christmas – continued and meant they slipped to their third consecutive league defeat.
