Fulham boss rules out Christensen sale

Fulham manager Kit Symons has insisted there is no prospect of the club selling Lasse Vigen Christensen this month.

Aston Villa have been linked with a move for the 20-year-old Danish midfielder, who has five goals and five assists to his name from 18 league appearances this season. There has also been speculation that QPR are interested.

Symons said the Whites are ready to reject any approach made during the transfer window.

He said: “It won’t be happening. He’s really enjoying it at Fulham.

“He’s thriving and playing some great football and improving all the time. We love having him.”

Christensen missed Monday’s home defeat against Brighton through injury and was not expected to be fit for the FA Cup third-round tie with Wolves on Saturday.

However, he trained on Friday and could be in contention for a surprisingly swift return to the side.

Symons said: “I didn’t think for one minute he’d be fit but he’s incredibly keen to play and be involved.

“We’ll wait and see if there’s any reaction, but he could well feature.”

Bryan Ruiz also missed the Brighton game but is available to face Wolves.
