Symons: No Cherries bid for Parker

Fulham boss Kit Symons has dismissed speculation linking captain Scott Parker with a move to Bournemouth.

Newspaper reports on Saturday claimed the 34-year-old, currently recovering from an ankle operation, was being lined up to join brother-in-law Harry Arter (pictured challenging Parker, above) at the Cherries.

But Symons, who has conceded he won’t be able to stop Patrick Roberts joining Manchester City, insists there is nothing in the Parker story.

He said: “That’s just speculation. We’ve certainly heard nothing about that.

“I’ve not been told anything at all.”
