Transfer gossip: West Ham reportedly close to signing Fredericks

Ryan Fredericks is set to join West Ham despite Fulham’s promotion back to the Premier League, the Daily Mail say.

Fredericks played a key role for the Whites last season but is out of contract and has been linked with several clubs.

The Mail say he is close to agreeing terms with West Ham – just days after playing in the Championship play-off final triumph against Aston Villa at Wembley.

He is tipped to become Manuel Pellegrini’s first signing since the former Manchester City boss took over as West Ham manager.

Ryan Fredericks has been linked with a number of clubs

Fredericks has been linked with a number of clubs in recent months, as have his Fulham team-mates Ryan Sessegnon and Tom Cairney.

Crystal Palace, Newcastle and even Arsenal have been said to have shown an interest in the former Tottenham trainee.

Fulham have offered him an improved contract in an effort to keep him at Craven Cottage.
