Fulham ‘ready for everything’ in play-offs

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic is confident his side can overcome Reading and reach the Championship play-off final.

The Whites will face Reading over two legs for a place at Wembley, with the first leg at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Jokanovic declared: “We must be ready for everything. This team (Reading) finished third and that shows their level.

“The table says they are favourites and we are going to try to surprise them. We must be ready.

“It’s going to be a tough two games for us and for them too. We are confident and believe we can play good football and win.”

Fulham ended the regular season on a high, winning 2-1 at Sheffield Wednesday, who will also be involved in the play-offs.

It again underlined the scale of the improvement under Jokanovic, who took charge of a struggling team last season.

“We’ve shown some important progress. We won 10 more games than we did last season and finished in the top six,” he said.

“We can be satisfied with our progress. We finished the regular part of the season with style.

“Now we have to put everything behind us and be ready for what is in front of us.

“The regular season is behind us and we now have to be focused for important games we are going to play.”
