Bees to discuss transfer deals for trio

Brentford will discuss the possible permanent signings of George Saville, Marcello Trotta and Alan Judge in the coming weeks.

Chelsea’s Saville, Fulham’s Trotta and Judge of Blackburn have all impressed while on loan at Griffin Park.

With his side having clinched promotion to the Championship, Bees boss Mark Warburton is keen to start planning for next season.

But he is also mindful that the trio’s parent clubs have more pressing issues as the end of the campaign approaches.

Chelsea are in the title race and the Champions League semi-finals, while Fulham are battling against relegation and Blackburn have a slim chance of making the Championship play-offs.

Warburton told West London Sport: “We want to speak to them about Saville, Trotta, Judge, but at the right time when it’s good for them.

Warburton insists major changes will not be needed

“Those players have done well for us and we’ll have discussions with the clubs and see how the land lies.

“While it’s important to us, we have to recognise what’s going on at other clubs and try and time our discussions with them.”

Irish midfielder Judge, 25, is under contract at Blackburn until 2016, while striker Trotta, 21, has a year of his Fulham deal left to run. Both players have expressed an interest in moving to Griffin Park on a permanent basis.

Chelsea were keen for 21-year-old midfielder Saville to pick up first-team experience this season and plan to review his situation in the summer. He has a year left on his Blues contract.

Warburton, meanwhile, does not intend to make major changes to a squad which secured automatic promotion with three matches to spare.

“We’ve got a very strong squad and most importantly these players have earned this move to the Championship,” he said.

“Everyone is asking me about what players are coming in and whether there’ll be wholesale changes, but this is a squad that has done very well and can more than hold their own in the Championship.

“So we are not looking for wholesale changes. If we can add quality in one or two key areas then we’ll do it. It’s about getting the right individuals for the right slots.”
