Redknapp: Morrison should go abroad

QPR boss Harry Redknapp believes Ravel Morrison will make a big impact at Cardiff – but says the West Ham youngster may need to move overseas in order to fulfil his potential.

Morrison, who ended last season on loan at Loftus Road after falling out of favour with Hammers boss Sam Allardyce, has been sent on loan to the Championship again.

And Redknapp said: “They’re certainly getting a talented player. The Cardiff fans will love him I’m sure

“I like Ravel. He’s such a fantastic talent and it’ll be such a shame if he doesn’t become a great player.

“He wasn’t a minute’s problem for me here and as a player I think he’s got great ability. He glides over the floor and is a talent who, if he were somewhere else, would be a superstar.

“Maybe in this country it’s not worked out for him. Maybe he needs to go to Spain, Italy or somewhere and play.”
