Ji sends Chelsea Ladies to Wembley

Ji So-Yun’s late goal earned Chelsea Ladies a 1-0 win over Manchester City in the Women’s FA Cup semi-finals and secured a place in the Wembley final.

A tense game played at Wycombe FC’s Adams Park saw both sides create and miss chances.

Blues striker Eni Aluko came closest before the break, hitting the outside of the post with a shot.

But the only goal did not arrive until the 84th minute when PFA Women’s player of the year Ji found the bottom corner of the net with a fine strike from just outside the area.

Chelsea will play Notts County in the final at Wembley on Saturday, 1 August.
