QPR midfielder Sandro

QPR and West Bromwich Albion are in talks over a potential move for Sandro.

The Brazilian midfielder, one of several players Rangers want to remove from their wage bill, could join the Baggies on loan with a view to a permanent move.

But the R’s have rejected an approach from Maccabi Tel Aviv for summer signing Tjaronn Chery, insisting the Dutchman is not for sale.

Meanwhile, QPR manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is hopeful the club will be able to bring in new faces before Monday’s transfer deadline.

There have been two outgoings at Brentford, both on loan – defender Daniel O’Shaughnessy has joined Danish champions FC Midtjylland until the end of the season, while teenage midfielder James Ferry has joined Welling United for a month.

There could also be outgoings at Fulham before the deadline. Tottenham are edging towards a deal to sign Moussa Dembele from the Whites for a fee of around £5m, while Ross McCormack has handed in a transfer request.
