Rangers confident of Kranjcar boost

Niko Kranjcar looks likely to be available for QPR’s game against Liverpool on Sunday.

Rangers feared the Croatian would be sidelined for at least a month after suffering a toe injury in training.

But Kranjcar responded well to treatment, trained on Friday and has requested to have a painkilling injection so that he can play.

He is due to be assessed ahead of the match but Rangers are confident he will be fit enough to be named in the squad.

But they will be without midfielders Joey Barton and Jordon Mutch, who have both been struggling with hamstring problems.
