Fulham linked with Aston Villa defender

Fulham are interested in signing Aston Villa’s Matt Lowton, the Sunday People say.

West Ham and Norwich City are also said to be keen on the 24-year-old full-back, who has been out of favour at Villa Park under manager Paul Lambert.

The People also claim Sunderland boss Gus Poyet leads the race for Chelsea youngster Nathan Ake.

A number of clubs are keen to take the highly-rated Dutch teenager on loan next season after the Blues opted not to loan him out this term.

Chelsea also lead the race to sign Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic but face stiff competition from Manchester United and Arsenal, The Sun on Sunday say.

Mandzukic is tipped to seek a move in the summer, when Robert Lewandowski will arrive at Bayern from Borussia Dortmund on a five-year contract.

It is claimed that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has been invited to discuss a potential deal for the 27-year-old and can afford his wages, which are said to be £110,000 a week.

LA Galaxy are hopeful of completing a deal to sign Frank Lampard when his Chelsea contract expires in the summer, again according to The Sun on Sunday.

Meanwhile, it is suggested in the Mail On Sunday that Chelsea will sell Romelu Lukaku and target the likes of Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa and Radamel Falcao of Monaco.

And the People say Real Madrid will offer Chelsea’s Ashley Cole a two-year deal.

It is claimed that Real president Florentino Perez has agreed to move for the veteran left-back, whose contract also expires this summer.
