Chelsea among Premier League clubs linked with Norwegian youngster

Norwegian Martin Odegaard is the latest highly-rated youngster to be linked with Chelsea.

The Daily Star say Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are also among the clubs apparently interested in the 15-year-old, who is currently with Stromsgodset.

It is claimed that Real Madrid are interested too and that this is a blow for his other supposed suitors.

Chelsea have been linked with several teenagers in recent months, including West Ham’s Reece Oxford, 16, whose representatives have been negotiating a contract at Upton Park for the defender.

The Express again suggested today that the player could leave the Hammers, with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal also said to be keen on him.

Another player consistently said to be a transfer target for Chelsea is Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani, who was linked with a move to Stamford Bridge prior to joining Paris St-Germain from Napoli.

The Star reports that Cavani, 27, has indicated that he plans to stay at PSG despite speculation about his future.

It comes after he told French television programme Téléfoot: “I’m happy at Paris. You don’t know what can happen in football, but my mind is set on PSG.”
