‘Signing of the summer!’ – fans react to Cech’s move to Arsenal
Petr Cech’s 11-year career at Stamford Bridge came to an end on Monday when he completed an £11m switch to Arsenal.
The move provoked mixed reactions among Chelsea fans but Arsenal supporters were unsurprisingly ecstatic at signing one of the Premier League’s most decorated goalkeepers.
As the protracted deal was finally confirmed, Blues fans on Twitter provided emotional tributes to Cech – but some questioned why owner Roman Abramovich had sanctioned selling the keeper to a rival club.
