Reports: West Ham interested in Sidwell and Bent could end up at QPR

West Ham are interested in Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell, the Sunday People say.

Sidwell’s representatives have been looking to secure him a new contract at Craven Cottage, where his current deal expires this summer.

And it is claimed that Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is monitoring the situation with a view to possibly signing the 31-year-old.

The People also say Oldham midfielder Corey Smith, 23, is a transfer target for Brentford.

Meanwhile, it is suggested in the Mail on Sunday that QPR could sign Darren Bent this summer.

The striker is on a season-long loan from Aston Villa at Fulham, who are tipped to pass up the chance to sign him on a permanent basis.

It is claimed that Bent, 30, is therefore likely to end up at Rangers or Crystal Palace.
