QPR’s ongoing interest in Morrison, German club linked with Hoilett

The Evening Standard have picked up on reports in the Italian media that QPR are planning another attempt to sign Ravel Morrison from Lazio.

West London Sport revealed during the recent transfer window that Rangers were discussing signing Morrison and subsequently that a deal was close before talks then stalled, but that director of football Les Ferdinand planned to continue monitoring developments.

An injury and an apparent change of heart by Morrison led to him staying in Italy for the time being at least.

Speculation about his future has resumed after Lazio coach Stefano Pioli was quoted in the Italian media as saying: “He’s sick, but he’s yet to fully adapt to the schemes.”

Meanwhile, ESPN reports that Junior Hoilett is a target for German side Schalke.

West London Sport revealed last month that QPR had made Hoilett available on a free transfer and that there had been some interest from German clubs.
