Transfer gossip: QPR want Fulham midfielder, Mail claim

QPR are keen on Fulham midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe, the Mail claim.

Tunnicliffe, 23, has not played a first-team match for more than two months and there has been speculation that he could move when the transfer window reopens.

Rangers are well stocked for central midfielders but it is claimed that they are interested in signing him.

It appears to be based on R’s boss Ian Holloway praising Tunnicliffe when working as a television pundit.

Ipswich, Preston and Glasgow Rangers are also said to be interested in signing the former Manchester United trainee.

The Mail reckon QPR “see Tunnicliffe as someone who could help fill the void left by Joey Barton’s departure.”

The Mail also say QPR youngster Brandon Comley is wanted by MK Dons, Peterborough and Northampton.

Hill still being linked with return

Clint Hill continues to be linked with a return to QPR.

The Daily Express have picked up on recent reports claiming that the veteran defender, who joined Glasgow Rangers after leaving Loftus Road during the summer, could be on his way back to west London.

It is claimed that Holloway wants to sign Hill, 38, in January and that he is prepared to offer him a coaching role.

The Daily Record originally claimed that the R’s were interested in re-signing him.

It comes as Hill is discussing a new contract at Ibrox, where his current deal expires at the end of the season.

The Express reckon Holloway believes Hill “would be invaluable in his confidence-sapped dressing room.”
