Chelsea and QPR both linked with Ghana midfielder Ayew

Chelsea and QPR have both been linked with Marseille’s Ghana international midfielder Andre Ayew.

French newspaper L’Equipe say Rangers are set for talks over a possible deal for the player, with Marseille looking to sell him for around £6.3m.

Ghanascoccernet.com suggest the Lique 1 club’s president Vincent Labrune is in London to offer Ayew to a number of clubs, including Chelsea.

The Evening Standard say Fernando Torres is set to join AC Milan on loan if the Italian club can agree a deal with Chelsea for his wages, reported to be £180,000 a week.

Meanwhile, Italian media reports continue to suggest that Milan are also interested in Blues midfielder Marco van Ginkel.

And Bremen-based newspaper Kreiszeitung Syke reports that Werder Bremen have ended their interest in Fulham’s Bryan Ruiz because of financial restrictions.

The Bundesliga outfit’s general manager Thomas Eichin is quoted as saying: “It’s impossible to sign him. The club is determined to keep up with the financial consolidation.

“That is why we are not talking about signing new players, we are just out for further departures.”
