La Repubblica claim Conte could quit Chelsea


Chelsea boss Antonio Conte could return home to Serie A in the summer, according to an Italian newspaper.

Monday’s edition of La Repubblica claims Conte is suffering from homesickness and might look to leave London if the Blues win the Premier League title.

Furthermore, it says representatives from Inter Milan have put together an offer for the Chelsea head coach.

There has been no public indication that Conte is unsettled at Stamford Bridge.

Meawhile, Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas remains a transfer target for AC Milan, according to Italian football rumours site Calciomercato.

The report, which has also been picked up by the The Sun, claims Milan could try and tempt the Spaniard away from the Bridge by pledging to build their team around him.

Although Fabregas made his 300th Premier League appearance in Chelsea’s win over Swansea on Saturday, he has started just six of their 26 league games this season, the first time in his career he has not been a regular.

However, the former Arsenal man – who turns 30 in May said after the Swansea game he wants to stay at Chelsea.

And Manchester United are said to have joined a supposed race to sign Celtic’s former Fulham striker Moussa Dembele, who it’s claimed is wanted by Chelsea.

The Daily Express says scouts from both Premier League clubs were at Celtic Park on Saturday to watch him score both goals in a 2-0 win over Hamilton.
